GenAc Ready To Support Clients Post Hurricane Beryl

Kingston, Jamaica In the wake of Hurricane Beryl, which caused damage all across the island, General Accident Insurance Company (GenAc) is extending heartfelt empathy to those severely impacted by the storm. The company recognizes the resilience of the affected communities and stands ready to support clients during this difficult time.

“We understand the immense challenges our clients are facing in the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl. Our team is committed to providing swift and efficient assistance to ensure that claims are processed without delay,” said Gregory Foster, Chief Operating Officer of General Accident Insurance Company. “While we are thankful that the storm’s impact was not more devastating, we urge everyone to remain prepared as the hurricane season progresses.”

GenAc is reminding clients of the critical steps to take when filing a claim to ensure a smooth and efficient process:

  1. Report the Claim: Clients are encouraged to contact GenAc as soon as it is safe to do so. Claims can be reported on the GenAc website, with relevant photos. Additionally, claims can be reported via telephone at 876-929-8450-4 or by emailing hurricaneclaims@genac.com. The claims team will provide guidance throughout the process.
  2. Document the Damage: Clients should take clear photos and videos of any damage to their property or vehicle. This includes wide-angle photos of all rooms, floors, ceilings, and the exterior of the home, such as the roof, windows, and doors. It is also recommended to photograph valuable items and keep receipts for any temporary repairs.
  3. Assessment: A claims adjuster will assess the damage and determine the extent of the loss.
  4. Settlement: GenAc will work with clients to settle claims as quickly and efficiently as possible.
  5. Repairs: Once a claim is approved, clients can proceed with necessary repairs.

GenAc offices are open for regular business hours to provide in-person assistance. Clients also have the option to file claims online.  Whether in-person or online, the GenAc team is available to assist clients during this time, ensuring that claims are handled promptly and efficiently.

As the hurricane season continues, GenAc emphasises the importance of preparation to mitigate the impact of future storms. The company is dedicated to supporting the community and helping clients navigate the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl.
