Through the company’s increased focus on digitization of processes in the 2020-2021 fiscal year, General Accident Insurance Company Jamaica Ltd. (GenAc) has managed to maintain strong communications with its customer base. “General Accident is currently in the midst of a Digital transformation. Enabled by technology, we are taking on an enterprise-wide change that will evolve our business and operating model as well as how we work,” said Sharon Donaldson, Managing Director of General Accident.
During 2020, the Digital Transformation initiatives have resulted in tangible benefits such as reducing operating costs, increasing efficiency in the claims and underwriting process, and improving customer satisfaction. These and other factors discussed at the Annual General Meeting on Wednesday September 15, 2021 are driving the regionally expanding insurer, to increased revenue targets into the new financial year.
