General Accident received with first runner-up Jamaica Stock Exchange Best Practices Annual Report Award for it’s 2019 Annual Report.  The award was presented at a virtual hybrid event at the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) in Kingston and streamed live on Wednesday, December 2.

Established in 2004 by the Jamaica Stock Exchange, the JSE Best Practices Awards seek to provide an avenue to recognize listed companies and stockbrokers in the securities industry who uphold best practices standards. Each year awards are handed out to companies listed on the Main and Junior Market of the Stock Exchange recognizing excellence in corporate governance.

The Annual Report Award category seeks to encourage public listed companies to produce clearer more reader-friendly annual reports and to provide greater insight into companies’ financial affairs, governance practices and business activities.

General Accident Manager of Finance and Compliance Janette Cole-Smith accepted the first runner-up Annual Report Junior Market trophy from Samuel Parkes, principal JSE e-Campus at the ceremony.
