Early leaders hunt more wins in BH netball
-
DEFENDING champions Scotia ‘A’ and Jamaica Broilers go in search of their second consecutive wins as the 2010 Business House Netball Association (BHNA) Super League competition continues this afternoon at the Leila Robinson Courts in Kingston.
Scotiabank ‘A’, who registered a one-sided 96-13 win over National Housing Trust on Tuesday, should be given a sterner test from West Indies Synthetic Company (WISYNCO) when both teams meet at 5:10 pm.
Although the bankers are expected and should defeat WISYNCO, the winning margin should not be as wide as their last game.
Goal-shooter Marsha Murphy once again is expected to lead the charge for the defending champions with support from goal-attack Viola Francis-Cummings.
Meanwhile, former many-time champions, General Accident, will be playing their first match in the Super League when they go up against Scotiabank ‘B’ at 6:30 pm in a game which they should win without much fuss.
Margaret Lawrence and player/coach Oberon Pitterson should set the pace for victory by getting the goals, while Christina Morgan should score most goals for the bankers.
Jamaica Broilers should come out winners over National Housing Trust through the shooting of Anna-Kay Griffiths and Tashana Bloomfield, while Lorna Tingle and Racquel McLaughlin to reply. This game begins at 6:30 pm.
Also going for their second straight win is the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) ‘A’, who will face Sagicor at 6:30 pm. Shooters Shernette Walters and Neisha Howard should set the stage for the cops who should expect tough response from Sagicor’ Lorraine Lewis .
