ATL squeeze into Business House netball final

APPLIANCE Traders Limited (ATL) Group advanced to the final of the Intermediate ‘A’ League of the 2013 Business House Netball Association (BHNA) Divisional League competitions with an exciting 38-37 win over CARI-MED in their semi-final at the Leila Robinson Courts on Tuesday.
The ATL Group will meet Victoria Mutual Group in the final scheduled this Saturday inside the National Arena. VM Group coached by Delroy Johnson also came out with a narrow 25-24 win over Bank of Jamaica (BOJ).
ATL after being beaten twice by the Stafford Alexander-coached CARI-MED 46-39 and 39-35, in the preliminary round, the Klayto Sutherland-coached ATL Group aggregation turned the tables on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, defending Senior ‘A’ League champions General Accident defeated Jamaica Broilers 64-41, also on Tuesday to top the three-team play-off with six points from two games. They had also beaten Scotiabank ‘A’ 42-37.
General Accident and Scotiabank ‘A’ will meet in Saturday’s Senior ‘A’ League final. Scotiabank ‘A’ had beaten Jamaica Broilers 56-48.
The Senior ‘B’ League final will also be played on Saturday and will be contested between Transport Authority and National Housing Trust (NHT) ‘A’. Transport Authority defeated Scotiabank ‘A’ 52-40, while NHT ‘A’ beat Sagicor Life Jamaica ‘A’ 61-47.
LIME Jamaica Limited and Guardian Life Insurance will face each other in the Intermediate ‘B’ League final after victories in their respective semi-finals. LIME beat JMMB 29-27, while Guardian Life beat NHT ‘B’ 24-20.
Aeronautical Telecommunications Limited (AEROTEL) and South East Regional Health Authority (SERHA) will square off in the Junior League final. AEROTEL beat Wisynco ‘B’ 29-22, while SERHA got past Urban Development Corporation (UDC) 16-13 in their respective semi-finals.
